Stranger Things star is ready to bid farewell to the series (and it's not Millie Bobby Brown!)
The star talked about the farewell and his learnings from the show
While fans continue to suffer in advance with the end of Stranger Things, it seems that some actors are already prepared to bid farewell to the show. Due to the writers' strike, we will still have to wait a little longer to see the last chapter of the story, but part of the cast has already revealed their expectations for the series finale, such as Millie Bobby Brown and now, Joe Keery.
The actor, who portrays the beloved Steve Harrington, spoke with Women’s Wear Daily about the end of this journey that began in 2016: "It feels like the time has come. It won't be easy to wrap it up. I owe my entire career to being on that show, and all the opportunities I've had since are because of it."
Stranger Things and 11 other major series affected by the writers' strike and might be postponed; are your favorites on the list?
For Keery, the end of the adventure in Hawkins brings a mix of emotions. "There's a sense of relief, there's a sense of sadness. I think my goal is to really absorb as much as I can while we're doing this, and not take anything for granted, because it's been an incredible journey with such incredible people. And then, when it's over, move forward and try to hold onto the joy we had when we were doing this... Everything has a beginning, a middle, and an end. It will be good to finish this too."
WHEN DOES STRANGER THINGS SEASON 5 PREMIERE?
The script for the fifth season began to be written in August 2022 and, according to Finn Wolfhard (Mike), the release would take place in 2025. However, with the aforementioned writers' strike and now the actors' strike, production of the series has been completely halted, and we are still without a premiere date.
On social media, the Duffer brothers, creators of the show, have already stated that they will not resume work until the union's demands are met: "Writing doesn't stop when filming begins. While we are eager to start production with our incredible cast and crew, it's simply not possible during this strike. We hope a fair agreement will be reached soon, so we can all get back to work. Until then..."
