Angus Cloud, the actor known for his popular role as Fezco in the series Euphoria, has passed away at the age of 25, as reported by TMZ.
The cause of death has not been disclosed, but the family statement mentions that Cloud was coping with the loss of his father, who passed away a week ago:
"With heavy hearts, we had to say goodbye to an incredible human being today. As an artist, friend, brother, and son, Angus was special to all of us in many ways. Last week, he buried his father and suffered deeply from the loss. The only comfort we have is knowing that Angus is now reunited with his father, who was his best friend. Angus openly spoke about his battle with mental health, and we hope his death serves as a reminder to others that they are not alone and should not suffer in silence.
We hope the world remembers him for his humor, laughter, and love for everyone. We ask for privacy at this time as we are still processing this devastating loss."
Questlove, Kerry Washington, and others mourn the death of Angus Cloud.
The actor had his breakthrough role in Hollywood in Euphoria, where he portrayed Fezco during the two seasons of the HBO series from 2019 to 2022. His return was expected for the third season, slated for 2025.
The official Euphoria social media account also released a statement expressing sorrow for Cloud's passing:
“We are incredibly saddened to learn of the passing of Angus Cloud. He was immensely talented and a beloved part of the HBO and Euphoria family. We extend our deepest condolences to his friends and family during this difficult time.”
Previously, Cloud had roles in the movies "The Line" and "North Hollywood," and he appeared in the music videos for Juice WRLD's "Cigarettes" and Becky G & Karol G's "Mamiii."
The actor also has credits in the film "Freaky Tales," currently in post-production with no release date scheduled. The movie is directed by the duo of "Captain Marvel" directors Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck and also stars Pedro Pascal and Ben Mendelsohn.
Cloud was cast in a monster film by Universal Studios, directed by Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett. Speculation suggests that the project is a remake of "Dracula's Daughter."
